Product Description

Clarus MkII CCPC Phono cables are designed to connect your turntable and tonearm to a separate phono stage or the phono input of your preamp. Phono cables are particularly important audio cables because the low-level output from the phono cartridge is very fragile. Clarus Aqua and Crimson phono cables are a combination of a single-ended pair with a 14AWG silver-plated PCCC ground cable.

Aqua’s double shielding and Crimson’s triple shielding protects the fragile phono signal while the ground cable prevents ground loops. When connected, this ground wire puts the turntable and the amplifier on the same ground potential. If a turntable is not grounded, a small difference in ground potential will cause a ground loop which could result in a 60-cycle alternating current to pass along your audio cables. Since the phono stage input is very sensitive, you will hear an audible 60-cycle hum with the phono input selected. Clarus phono cables provide a clean pathway from turntable to preamp.

Clarus Cables

Clarus Cables are made from oxygen-free Pure Copper by Ohno Continuous Casting (PCOCC) - the world's purest copper. PCOCC's low electrical resistance and single-crystal, impurity-free construction makes it the ideal material for producing our superior-quality audio-interconnect cables.

Our patented cable design incorporates three distinctly different conductor types - each individually insulated; solid heavy-gauge conductors, flat conductors and spiral-ribbon conductors (with a non-conductive core). High End Cables dramatically improve clarity, and the resulting sound is more open and transparent. The key to the outstanding performance of Clarus Cables is the size of each conductor and its physical relationship to the other conductors.

The Clarus Audiophile Collection is truly in a class by itself. No other high-end audio cables on the market can match its revolutionary design and superior audiophile-quality sound reproduction.

As a nationally recognized leader in the field of high-end audio and home theater, Overture is a proud dealer of Clarus Cables, selling customers the finest cables from Clarus in Sales Tax Free Delaware.
